Time is not adhesive. Place is not a room. Carbon monoxide on floors; fingerprints on walls. Tuning insular frequencies out, turning self-mechanisms onto oneself. Stationary sensual wonderment, discovered through wanton wandering. Go creep in the moonlight, or the neon of local gas stations: 76, Amoco, Arco, BP, Chevron, Citgo, Exxon Mobil, Getty, Hess, Sheetz, Shell, Speedway, Texaco, Valero, Wawa, whatever, wherever. Huffing fumes, not because you want to, because it’s there. Empty brown paper bags, empty bottles emptied out. Empty canvas and linen, stretched and still empty. Empty rolls of film, dumped out of empty canisters. Empty marble, tiles, lumber, and drywall; empty for now. Empty wallets; empty for now. Do something. Do something. Do something. The head will always prevail, even when the limbs all fail. There is a special madness that skulls must eat to feed.
