Peter Eide is a painter and experimental filmmaker who lives and works in New Windsor, MD. Originally from Minneapolis, MN, Eide moved to Baltimore in 2006 to study painting at the Maryland Institute College of Art. After receiving his BFA, Eide went on to receive his MFA in inter-disciplinary studio art from Towson University. Eide had his first solo show at Freddy Gallery in Baltimore in 2014, and his work has been featured at James Fuentes Gallery and Nicelle Beachene Gallery in New York, NY, as well as Vicki in Newburgh, NY. He has also had his work exhibited with Freddy Gallery at Paramount Ranch in Agoura Hills, California. More recently Eide's work has been included in the exhibition “Hope and Hazard: A Comedy of Eros” curated by Eric Fischl at the Hall Art Foundation in Reading, VT. Along with his artistic practice, Eide teaches art history and studio art classes at Carroll Community College and University of Baltimore, Baltimore, MD.
