Joey Fauerso

Arts+Culture

Interior introduces a dynamic presentation of new paintings, drawings, and video by Joey Fauerso. Much of Fauerso’s work depicts the human body as an intersection between nature and culture by blurring the lines between inside and outside, subject and environment, natural and artificial. Fauerso is also interested in performance, voyeurism, and the ways in which ideas of gender are projected onto nature and the environment. She currently serves as Assistant Professor for the School of Art and Design at Texas State University, and lives in San Antonio with her husband and two sons.
